Satellites

Four recurrent satellites events of RECOMB will be held jointly with the meeting on this 2018 edition. They will be held before the main event, on the 19-20 April at the Campus Pierre et Marie Curie, Sorbonne Université, Quartier Jussieu, Paris, France.

Satellites will be hosted at the First floor of Tower 44, in rooms 106 (RECOMB-Seq), 108 (RECOMB-CCB), 107 (RECOMB-Genetics) and 109 (Dream Challenges and Epidemium@RECOMB).

RECOMB-Seq

This workshop brings together researchers from computer science, mathematics, statistics and the life sciences to discuss emerging frontiers in next generation sequencing.

RECOMB-Genetics

This meeting focuses on the current research at the intersection of genetics, computer science, statistics, and related fields in gathering, analyzing, and applying SNP and haplotype data to problems in medicine and basic research.

RECOMB-CCB

This meeting focuses on applying statistical, mathematical, and algorithmic approaches to improve our understanding of cancer and on the development of useful, effective and efficient new methods in this area.

DREAM challenges and EPIDEMIUM@RECOMB

The meeting will focus on proteogenomics, single cell systems biology and cancer epidemiology, and how crowdsourced science, data sharing and a culture of collaboration can help advance research in these fields. We will highlight the solutions of the top performing strategies in the Epidemium program in cancer epidemiology and the recent NCI-CPTAC Proteogenomics DREAM Challenge. We will also brainstorm as a community on the possibility of organizing a DREAM challenge on Single Cell Systems Biology.
